For the women’s guide, I really wanted to focus on some necessities that get overlooked. When first transitioning my lifestyle to veganism, I never thought about anything other than the food I was eating. After a few months I realized I was still carrying a leather purse, wearing makeup that was tested on animals and burning candles made from beeswax. Little did I know the harm I was trying to abstain from was still taking place in my day to day life, I felt awful.
It took me about a year to switch everything over to vegan and cruelty-free products. I understand that money isn’t an option for many of us, we need time to transition over everything else we’ve grown attached to. I completely get it. Hopefully this guide will steer you in the right direction to discovering some new brands that I truly love.
If you’re having a hard time finding products that work for you, definitely check out my cruelty-free personal care essentials post and you should also check out Tashina’s website, (@LogicalHarmony) – she is incredible! Pacifica Beauty // starting at $9.00-$32.00
I was first introduced to Pacifica’s products last year. Over the span of a year I’ve had the opportunity to try out more of their products and I truly love them all. My personal favorites include the Solar Complete Color Mineral Palette, Dreamy Cover Bare-Faced Serum Foundation (Fair/Light), everything in the Tahitian Gardenia scent and all of their soy candles. You can’t go wrong with any of Pacifica’s products!
Perfect For: Makeup, skincare and beauty enthusiasts.
Canopy Verde Designer Handbags // starting at $59.00-$229.00
Incredible quality, all eco-friendly and of course vegan materials. I’m currently obsessing over the new Cassia Mini – their first all black purse. I personally own the Heights Handbag in Stone + Expresso. It’s an investment piece, but each design is flawless and will last for many years. Plus, Canopy Verde is offering up a very special sale – Get the $75 Carroll Clutch free with any purchase $199 and over! If you’re looking to spend less, the orange Brighton Phone Wristlet has officially become my go to for running errands. If you would like more info on Canopy Verde, check out the mini review I wrote, here.

Cocokind Skincare // starting at $13.99
Not all of Cocokind’s products are vegan, but those few aside, I absolutely love what I am able to use from them. I’ve raved about their products all year long, my favorites being the repair serum, rosewater toner and the eye firming oil. If you have a loved one in mind that would be interested in trying new skincare products, I highly recommend the Bestsellers Bundle. I even have a full review from when they first started out, here.
Perfect For: Giving your skin what it needs! Any skin type, dry to oily. These has done wonders at balancing out my combination/oily skin type.
Stinkbug Naturals // $7.99 for 1.7 oz
Everyone knows that I’m always on the hunt for natural deodorants. Not all work, so it’s been my mission to share the ones that do. Despite the name, these cream deodorants definitely remove any stinky smell and keep me smelling fresh all day long. Which is incredible! I plan on sharing a full review very soon. Also, the Tangerine Spice makes me smell like Christmas and I love it!
It’s important to note that not all of their products are vegan, they do use beeswax. However, all of the cream deodorants are completely vegan. Just to be safe, I didn’t want any of you thinking I missed that ingredient. Everything vegan is properly labeled with all ingredients listed.
Perfect For: The ladies that need a little extra strength B-O protection. This includes me.
EcoTools Makeup & Hair Brushes // starting at $2.99-$19.99
Currently loving their 4-pack of complexion makeup brushes. They’re perfect for travel and super soft. Their range of professional quality vegan makeup brushes use soft synthetic bristles as an alternative to the animal-derived bristles that are used by most brands. I’ve also been a huge fan of the detangling paddle brush they offer. My hair is really long and gets knotted up incredibly easy – this is a life-saver!
Perfect For: The eco-friendly beauty guru.
Vellabox Candle Subscription // starting at $10-$30 per month
If you love candles, then this is perfect for you. Vellabox partners with candlemakers to send their products directly to your doorstep. You have the option of a $10 (4 oz.), $20 (8 oz.) or $30 (12 oz.) box each month. While they don’t market themselves as vegan, every candle so far was been soy, coconut or vegetable-based. I’ve personally spoken with the candle curator, Tasha and she assures me that they’re going to keep it vegan for now. Next years candles have been already selected, none containing beeswax are in sight. We need to keep supporting those vegan options! Because the coconut wax candles are incredible, I want to buy them all!
Perfect For: Cruelty-free candle lovers. Who doesn’t love a good smelling home?
Petit Vour Beauty Box // starting at $15 a month ($23 for Canada)
Another year has passed and Petit Vour is still on their game each and every month. I’m constantly impressed with the quality and overall selection of products in each months box. If you’re newly vegan or looking to switch to cruelty-free vegan products, this subscription service makes discovering new brands a delight. I wouldn’t have found half the brands I now love, if it wasn’t for Petit Vour.
Perfect For: Makeup, skincare and beauty enthusiasts. Anyone new to the vegan lifestyle, looking for cruelty-free brands/products to replace their conventional ones.0
