I recently placed a little order for some new cruelty-free vegan beauty products (and again the other day…). As I said before, I wanted to start sharing more about products on here aside from food. Being vegan is a lifestyle, so cruelty-free in all aspects of life is my goal. As I run out of things I like to seek out vegan brands to discover what I like and what works best for me. So let’s get started!
I decided to get the basics. Deodorant, dry shampoo, lip balm and a moisturizing body glow stick. Zabana was kind enough to include their facial cleansing bar and a bath bomb for me to sample too (not pictured). Below I’ll do a breakdown on each of the items and share my thoughts.
Lavender Citrus Mint Dry Shampoo – $7.95
Smells great, very earthy and clean. I followed the directions as written and it definitely helped my day two hair from looking less greasy and blah. I hate using aerosol sprays of dry shampoo, so I’m happy I’ve finally found one that’s vegan and powdered so I can use as needed at my own desire.
Coconut Lip Balm – $3.49
Very smooth application and beautiful smell. This lasted quite a while on and left my lips very moisturized. I love applying this before bed and waking up to soft lips. I definitely plan on trying other scents when I run out.
Golden Goddess Glow Stick – $13.95
Perfect for the summer time! Leaves a beautiful glow and scent. This made my tattoos shine and kept my skin hydrated. I will definitely be trying the lotion bars next. No messy hands with application, it’s perfect for on the go use.
Lavender Eucalyptus Deodorant Stick – $10.95
The smell of this was very strong, in a good way. Sadly I’m a sweaty girl, and I’ve never found a deodorant that works for me in terms of dryness or odor. This stayed on but faded quickly, but I’m worst case scenario. I think this would work perfectly for normal body types. I plan on continuing use and seeing if my body adjusts to it lasting more.
French Green Facial Cleansing Bar – $5.95
Lightly scented and left my face soft. I used it with my Clarisonic and it felt clean but not drying. I followed up with my coconut oil to mosturize and my skin felt amazing. I will definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out.
Jasmine Vanilla Bath Bomb – $4.95
Yet another amazing scent! This dissolved quickly into my bath water and left behind no clumps. I felt very relaxed in my tub, so I might need to pamper myself more with these in other scents. I definitely recommend these if you’re an avid bath taker. Tons of lovely scents that cater to your needs.
I’m a sucker for all the packaging, it’s simple and clean. I love that everything is travel friendly and compact enough for me to take wherever. Everything smelt incredible and fresh. I was very pleased with my purchases, I actually ordered more last night! So I’ll do an updated review with all the items I didn’t try yet after I receive them.
If you’re interested in trying vegan beauty products and making the switch from your usual stash, I’d highly recommend Zabana Essentials. They runs sales often and ship very quickly. I love their customer service and I’m more than happy supporting good companies that do their best to sell products kinder to the earth and our bodies.
