It’s the first Favorites post of 2015! 😀 I feel like it’s been ages since I shared one of these! The end of my months tend to be a bit busier, so the past couple months I wasn’t able to get anything together for you all. But I’m back now and I can’t wait to talk about what I’m loving this month!
Meow Meow Tweet – Lavender Deodorant Cream
Hands down the BEST natural, cruelty-free deodorant I have EVER used! I’m putting my word on this one, I absolutely swear by it! I’m so beyond happy to have finally found a deodorant that works for me and my body. I have tried out too many to count and this is my saving grace. Luckily it was included in my Petit Vour box a couple months ago. I used up the 1 oz. sample and ordered their 2-pack 2 ounce jars immediately.
It might seem pricey or like it doesn’t go a long way, but in all honesty it lasts me even more than my previous 4-6 ounce competitors. I only need about a pea-sized amount and it lasts me ALL DAY. Yes, ALL day. I don’t have to reapply it every hour or two like the others. It doesn’t slide off, stain my clothes and give off a potent smell – you know what I’m talking about, that “omg you’re wearing powdered deodorant” smell the second you move. You catch a whiff of that and it’s either comforting knowing you don’t smell bad or embarrassing knowing everyone else can smell that too. I’m happy with what I’ve got now!
Pacifica Body Butter – Tahitian Gardenia
Flora scents truly are my calling. I have no idea why I gravitate towards them the way I do, but I do and I love them so much. I actually received this as a gift for Christmas from my grandma. I had never had the opportunity to really try out anything from Pacifica. I knew they were a completely vegan company though, just a little pricey for some of their makeup.
The consistency of this is so luxurious, it’s thick and applies very smooth. I love the way it soaks in and leaves my skin feeling so silky soft to the touch. The scent lingers but fades after time, I would honestly wear this scent as a perfume or body mist – which I actually think they do make/sell.
I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a heavy duty body moisturizer. Perfect for after a hot bath, you fall asleep like a baby!
Zabana Essentials – Tangerina Calendula Bath Bomb
Speaking of hot baths, I cannot get enough of this bath bomb from Zabana. I’ve been going through a citrus/floral phase lately and this is the perfect combo of scents. I really want to try and recreate this myself since they are on the pricey side (worth it) but I can seriously go through them like nobodies business. So I’ll definitely share a diy for that in the future!
CocoKind – Repair Serum
A new brand and product for me, I’ve only been using this for about a week and a half now but it’s quickly become something I reach for every night. Since it has been a bit colder here, my skin has reverted to a drier than normal state. Luckily my face has been balanced out and is no longer oily, but I have a few dry patches on sensitive areas. Like my cheeks, nose and chin. This repair serum has made all of that go away! I’ll be sharing a full review on this line of skincare very soon, so far I really recommend it.
Andalou Naturals – CC Cream
I use to never leave the house without a full face of makeup. Nowadays I could care less, I’m pretty confident in my skin and not feeling the need to cover it all up. So I decided to try out a CC cream for those days I’m wanting a little coverage but nothing much. I’ve been loving this one from Andalou. This is the first one I found that’s vegan (and not tested on animals), but I have recently found another one I’m going to try out and see if I like better. This shade is a little dark for me if I use too much and don’t blend it out properly, but I think that’ll be okay since we’re heading into the Spring/Summer months here in Texas.
I really like the consistency of this, it is a much thicker formula then anything I’ve used before, but it applies perfectly and melts into your skin throughout the day.
I love that it has a rose scent, again with the florals. It has everything I need in it to protect my skin, even my complexion and give me a boost of confidence. Who wouldn’t want that?!
Kat Marshello – Handmade Tea Towel
A lot of you may have seen this towel in previous photos. I have been OBSESSED with it! I just can’t get enough of it. My lovely designer, Kat actually made this as a gift for some of her clients for Christmas (I posted a photo of that on IG). She’s truly such an incredible person to work with, I’m honored to have met her and my whole site design is thanks to her <3
