With the New Year here, many of us are shuffling to set our annual resolutions that we inevitably forget by February. We’re human, it’s okay.
I wanted to instead share my top three tips to crushing the self-doubt from New Years resolution blues and in place, set obtainable goals to creating a sustainable lifestyle. Transforming your mindset and allowing yourself to take the steps towards actual change, for the better!

1. Nourishment Is Key
Thanks to my girl Kristina, (@FullyrawKristina) I’ve learned that starting my day with a fully raw breakfast has set the pace for everything else in my life. Keeping it whole-foods based, full of fruits and veggies. In the form of a smoothie or juice is perfect for on-the-go!
You not only save time and energy making your first meal simplistic, you regain that energy through nutrients and set a positive pace for the entire day. Creating a healthy habit of nourishing your body, which in turn reflects outwards.
Clear skin is heavily based on the foods we put into our bodies. Increasing consumption of water, organic fruits and veggies is a wonderful place to start.
2. Spread The Love
Self-love is a struggle for many of us. Learning to accept our “flaws” doesn’t happen overnight. I’ve found that taking the focus from myself has helped immensely. Rather than finding ways to lift myself up, I choose to focus that energy on uplifting the people around me. Something as simple as a compliment to a stranger or reaching out to someone new and voicing my interest in their work. This has allowed me to lift their spirits, which inevitably brings me happiness. The world needs more positivity. Choosing to be a positive voice speaks louder than any self-doubt you may have.
3. Pause For Peace
With the hustle and bustle of work, school, kids, etc. it’s difficult to take time to unwind and refocus your thoughts. Setting aside at least 5-10 minutes a day, to sit in a quiet space and close my eyes is essential. Giving yourself moments of peace will calm your mind. Think of it as a power nap to reset your brain for the day.
Practicing meditation can be such a powerful tool to getting in-tune with your body and establishing a healthy mindset.
Committing to one or all three of these will surely set you up for success. Give them a try and remember, it’s all about taking steps in the right direction. Life isn’t a race. Focus on each day, one moment at a time.0
