I was gifted these items for consideration but all thoughts and opinions are my own. I agreed to share my experience, good or bad in exchange for product. Know that this did not influence my review whatsoever, I had already purchased a lounger with my own money. We loved our experience with the DockATot and wanted to share that for those curious to try.
Becoming a mother has been the greatest accomplishment of my life. Words can’t describe the feeling I get looking at my baby boy. He is without a doubt the single most important thing to me. I’m honored to care for him and learning what he needs and likes has been a process. Most of the things people recommended to us just didn’t work out. While other things I did research on ended up being huge successes!
One of which is the infamous, DockATot. While there are a few big brands on the market, we opted for DockATot due to the fact it could really grow with him and is easily transportable. I’m not gonna lie, they have super cute washable covers for it too.
Calvin loves to lounge in his DockATot while I’m working. He can nap comfortably or look at me and know I’m close by. We do use this lounger as a co-sleeper as well. I know there is a lot of controversy using it that way but I can assure you he is completely safe and always supervised.
DockATot does have a whole section on co-sleeping guidelines if you would like to read about that. I personally find it works best for us, Calvin still nurses every 2 hours through the night. We’re both light sleepers and haven’t had any issues keeping him in bed with us using this as a cozy barrier.
I’m most excited about using the Grand (next size up) as a buffer to help transition him to sleeping in a toddler bed. He’s still a tiny tot though and we’re comfortably rocking the Deluxe size at 4+ months old. My kiddo is very tall for this age. So I’m glad the bottom has a removable buckle to open up and accommodate his rapid growth. Once he grows out of this we’ll pack it away in the travel bag for the next baby. Or let the cats use it, they sneak into it whenever Calvin isn’t using it. So hey, it’s a great animal bed too!
My biggest pro is that Calvin is safe and secure. I’m happy knowing he feels comforted. I also love the fact the DockATot is hypo-allergenic & Oeko-Tex Certified (meaning free from harmful chemicals and only using fabrics/fibers made without pesticides). You know what else is cool? The attachable toy arch! My little guy is now at the stage where he wants to play with toys. We absolutely love the “cheeky chum” set! He could look at them for hours totally mesmerized. When he’s wanting to change it up, we also use it for some quality tummy time.
Going along with things I love, like the variety of covers. You most importantly can order replacement parts. Should an accident happen, like one that can’t be throughly cleaned or the dog gets ahold of it. You can get a replacement pad or tube. If you weren’t aware, the DockATot is two separate pieces. The outer tube and the base pad. So knowing I’ve got the option to replace parts is huge. Especially living with lots of animals – accidents happen.

All in all, I know the price tag is steep but I believe DockATot is a sound investment. Especially if you plan on having multiple kids. You can keep it in it’s plastic case for longer-term storage or pass it down to a animal companion for napping in. Definitely worth having for naps during those newborn days when you want to keep them close by. I highly recommend DockATot! Wait for a sale if possible and buy quickly because they usually sell out fast running discounts.
