Hickory Smoked BBQ Cauliflower Wings

Yield 2 -4 servings

Need a game day recipe that's a game changer?! Look no further - these BBQ wings are the real deal and super delicious! You can use any sauce desired to coat them, have fun with the endless combinations and enjoy.

  1. Wash and cut your cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  2. Measure and whisk together your flour, water and seasonings to taste. You want a pancake-like batter consistency.
  3. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick baking liner.
  4. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F
  5. Dip each floret into the batter using a fork, tap off the excess and place it on your baking sheet. Repeat until everything is used up.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes. flipping halfway through (on the center rack).
  7. Remove from the oven once crispy, transfer half to a large bowl and cover with bbq sauce. Toss until everything is evenly coated, repeat for all wings and transfer back to your baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F for 15 more minutes, or until crispy again.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving.
  9. Serve warm, dipped in extra BBQ sauce or homemade ranch dip.

I found out that by tossing the "wings" in a second dose of sauce, cooking them a little longer takes these to another level. The flavor is much more intense and smoky. Following this method will result is a deep brown wing that’s caramelized and extra crispy.
