Starting off the year right with a smoothie bowl that has a unique twist. I teamed up with Simple Truth to bring you all a delicious and easy way to eat even better, without sacrificing taste or compromising your sweet tooth. Smoothie bowls are an excellent option for breakfast. It’s essentially a smoothie, with a thicker consistency, poured into a bowl and covered with toppings. You can really go crazy, I love to add chia seeds, coconut flakes, frozen/fresh fruits and in today’s recipe, tahini!
You might have dabbled with adding almond or peanut butter into your morning smoothie, but have you tried tahini? It might sound strange, but I swear it’s delicious. If you enjoy the flavor of tahini. If not, definitely feel free to substitute for your favorite nut or seed butter of choice.

Green Tahini Smoothie Bowl
Kick-off the day with a treat disguised as a delicious and healthy breakfast option! A green smoothie bowl, with a secret ingredient that will have you hooked.
- 4 ripe Bananas, frozen
- 3 cups Baby Spinach, Simple Truth Organic*
- 1 cup Apple Sauce, Simple Truth Organic*
- 1/8 cup Tahini, Simple Truth Organic* (can sub. any nut/seed butter)
- 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk, Simple Truth* (or as needed to blend)
- Topped with Chia Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Coconut Flakes, frozen Raspberries and a drizzle of Tahini
- Measure and toss everything into a high-speed blender or food processor.
- Add bananas one at a time, blending until smooth.
- Scoop into two bowls (or one) and top as desired with superfoods and/or fruits.
- Serve promptly, enjoy.
